Wolfram Summer School Research Reports 2024
Each year, the Wolfram Summer School brings together a global community of undergraduate and graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, faculty and industry professionals to build ambitious, computation-driven projects using Wolfram Language. Far more than a traditional academic program, the Summer School offers an immersive environment in which participants learn through action, experimentation, iteration and the creation of real, original work.
This collection of projects from the 2024 Summer School reflects the extraordinary range of inquiry made possible by this experiential approach. Spanning physics, data science, artificial intelligence, chemistry, mathematics, computational humanities and beyond, these works demonstrate how computational thinking can drive discovery across disciplines.
A defining feature of the program is its deeply collaborative culture. Stephen Wolfram meets with students frequently and passionately, challenging them to push their ideas further and supporting mentors in helping each student produce something truly original. These proceedings serve as a record of concrete examples of computational innovation shaped by close mentorship, real-world problem solving and a diverse community united by curiosity.
